Mr. Pruefer is currently in his 18th year serving students in the Wisconsin public education system.  Prior to joining Nicolet as the Director of Business Services in the summer of 2018, Mr. Pruefer was a Business Education Teacher and Varsity Tennis Coach (boys and girls) at Waunakee Community High School for seven years (2007-2014).  Mr. Pruefer transitioned from the classroom to administration as the Business Administrator for Baraboo School District from 2014-16 and Brown Deer School District from 2016-2018. 

Mr. Pruefer received his undergraduate degree from UW-Milwaukee in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.  He also holds a Master’s degree (MSE) from UW-Whitewater in Education and is a licensed School Business Manager.  Mr. Pruefer serves on the Board of Directors for WASBO (Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials).
