2021-2026 Strategic Plan Overview

Nicolet is fortunate to have an incredibly rich tradition of excellence fueled by our community’s high expectations and shared desire for continuous improvement. While the world our students will enter after graduation is always changing, our goal as a district remains the same; we are committed to doing whatever it takes to accelerate achievement for every student. 

During the 2020-2021 school year, the district leadership team, students, staff, parents, district administration, community members, and board members collaborated with facilitators Dr. Kathy Cooke and Michael Gallagher to establish the framework for a continuous improvement plan. The district administrative team used this framework to create a strategic plan that will guide our district direction for the next five years (2021-2026) and ensure Nicolet continues to be an exceptional place for staff and students to learn, work and collaborate.. 

The strategic plan is the foundation for continuous growth and the basis for our school improvement plan, teacher based student learning objectives and staff professional practice goals.

Teams met throughout the planning process to refresh the district’s Mission and Vision, review topics on equity and provide feedback on our strengths and weaknesses.  This led to our new mission, vision, and values which became the foundation for  the five focus areas created for the strategic plan.

During the next step in the process, the administrative team (high school office administration, district administration, instructional coaches and directors) developed impactful goal statements and action steps aligned to the five focus areas to ensure continuous improvement. These goals, to be outlined in the strategic plan, will focus the work of all staff on actions and collaborative efforts to reach our desired outcomes.

Progress toward the goals will be reviewed monthly by the administrative team and quarterly by the board of education.  An annual summary of the work completed in the five focus areas will be presented to the board.
