The Nicolet peer to peer tutoring and writing mentor program has continued to soar to new heights with all time records being set in the number of students providing tutoring and writing mentoring to classmates, the number of hours tutors and mentors are committing to each month, and the overall impact the Nicolet peer to peer tutoring and writing mentor programs are having on academic achievement across the building (including Nicolet's first bilingual tutors and mentors)! Today, we had a chance to celebrate our TOP 12 highest grossing tutors and mentors (based on the number of appointments they had throughout the first semester).

French Club held its annual Yule Log baking contest. Over 20 bakers entered the competition and baked 10 beautiful yule log cakes, a traditional dessert eaten in France, Switzerland and Belgium. Our four judges (Ms. Glodoski, Ms. Terry, Ms. Wathen and Ms. Walny) picked two winning teams who were awarded a gift card to the North Shore Bakery 🎂

Nicolet Union High School has a Student of the Month program to help promote academic achievement, academic growth, leadership, and resilience in the classroom. Each month, each academic department will be selecting a Student of the Month who has demonstrated and displayed these characteristics. A huge thank you to several local businesses who have generously donated prizes and awards for our Student of the Month winners, including: Stone Creek, Rocky Roccos, The Brick, the Nicolet Spirit Store, Cousins, and Jersey Mikes❗

Members of the German 4/5 class spent Tuesday in Chicago mentoring Glen Hills Middle School German students. Students visited the Goethe Institut, where they learned about modern German music and then investigated the Chicago Christkindlmarkt.
The Nicolet Recreation Department cordially invites senior citizens to a "Taste Of Fine Arts", a premiere matinee performance. This year's show "Shrek, The Musical" is
scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 1:00pm (curtain time) at Nicolet High School and performed by the Nicolet theater department and students 🎭
FREE Tickets are available for pick-up. To obtain your tickets, simply come to the Nicolet Recreation Department Office, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, Glendale, WI 53217.
The office is open from 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. If you are unable to pick up your tickets, special mailing accommodations can be made by sending a
self-addressed envelope to the Nicolet Recreation Department at the above address. Please do not order more tickets than you need and please return any unused tickets
prior to the day of the show.
Our retired staff members, lovingly called the Rusty Knights, had their holiday lunch last week with Nicolet administration 🎄
Nicolet assistant football coach Evan Rosa was named as an assistant for the 2024 Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star game 🏈

The Nicolet National Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society are teaming up to organize a Clothing Drive to support the Ladies of Charity, an esteemed organization dedicated to assisting families in need ‼
Our goal is to collect gently used clothing items to help families facing challenging times. Your contribution can make a significant difference in their lives.
We encourage you to go through your wardrobes and donate items that are in good condition but no longer in use. This is a great opportunity to declutter your space while making a positive impact.

The Nicolet Recreation Department offers over 160 Winter/Spring programs & activities at 24 different locations across the community for toddlers, youth, teens, adults, and senior adults❄
