25 Nicolet students, participating in the WI Global Scholars program, had the opportunity to spend the day at UW-Madison for "Languages of the World Day" 🌎
They enjoyed the day learning about and immersing themselves in cultures and languages from around the world❗

Nicolet Alum ('19) Parker Keckeisen captured his fifth straight Big 12 conference title🤼♂️
Parker became only the second wrestler in Big 12 history and first in Northern Iowa history to win five conference crowns.

A team of students from Howard University visited Nicolet last week as part of their Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program. While at Nicolet each morning, ASB Howard students worked with students in classrooms, helped in the library and on a locker project, and met with students during Enrichment to share their experience of applying to and attending an HBCU.
On Friday, our BSU and Howard together for speaker Dr. Kweku Ramel Smith, who grew up in Milwaukee and whose career as a psychologist includes working at Children's Hospital, the Milwaukee Bucks, the U.S. Olympic/Paralympic Team and UWM. Dr. Smith had our students engage with one another about their 7Cs, which are people in their lives that represent roles like coach, curator, counselor, conscience, curtain, crazy one, cousin.

The Nicolet Financial Investment Challenge Bowl team won the regional championship held at Manpower in Milwaukee for the third straight year 🏆🏆🏆

On Tuesday, March 11 all Nicolet Juniors will be on campus taking the ACT test. All students in grades 9, 10, and 12 will participate in virtual, remote, asynchronous Academic and Career Planning (ACP) activities. All students (grades 9, 10, 12) will be required to submit a reflection in Canvas after they complete the ACP activities. Our 7th and 8th grade students will NOT attend Nicolet on March 11. They will return to Nicolet on Wednesday March 12, our next “B” day.
Nicolet junior Luke Nelson completed a research internship last Summer with Marquette University and the Medical College of Wisconsin assisting on a project looking at muscle activity and microvascular function. The paper, co-authored by Luke, was recently published in the European Journal of Applied Physiology.

Nicolet senior Ziddane Isahaku, who won the Nicolet's Best of Fair recipient, will be competing at the International Science and Engineering Fair in May in Columbus, OH. Ziddane put an immeasurable amount of hours into his project this school year that resulted in him designing and testing a cutting edge environmental engineering project. A true mix of biology/environmental science, physics and engineering.

The Nicolet Boys Basketball team has earned a #2 seed in the WIAA playoffs and will open their postseason run with a home game on Friday, March 7th at 7pm vs. #7 Whitefish Bay 🏀
If the Nicolet Boys win on March 7th they will host the Regional Final on Saturday, March 8th at 7pm against the winner of #3 Cedarburg vs #6 Port Washington/#11 Grafton winner.
This is a WIAA postseason game and therefore all tickets are $7 and must be purchased on GoFan on a first come first serve basis. No passes are accepted including booster club, conference & senior citizen passes. All spectators including NHS students and NHS staff are required to purchase a ticket to attend these games. No cash will be accepted.
